What is a Gift Card?

It is a prepaid retail card that you can give as a gift or use yourself at the location where you chose to purchase your gift card. Spending is limited to the value loaded on your card. You can purchase a preloaded Gift Card with values ranging from $25.00 to $300.00.  Although if purchased directly from a merchant, they may have a different Min. & Max. dollar amounts.

Does my Gift Card have a PIN?
No! You use the Gift Card just like using cash.

How does my Gift Card work?
After you purchase your gift card at the affordablegiftcard.com website. We process your order and send your card to you or the recipient you want to receive the card. The gift card can be used at the location you purchased the gift card from. Your spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the card.  Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance. Before you make a trip to your provider or store, you'll want to know how much money you have available on the card. Knowing your balance before you go will help assure that your card is accepted.

Where can the Gift Card be used? 
The Gift Card can be used at participating providers and stores that you purchased the card from..

How can I verify the balance on my Gift Card? 
You can verify the remaining balance by directly contacting the store where you purchased the card from..

Will my name or my recipients name be on the Gift Card? 
No, only the provider or stores name will be on the card, and a unique 16 digit number that enables the merchant to redeem and reload your card.

What is the maximum dollar amount that can be loaded on to the Gift Card? 
The Gift Card can have a maximum value of $300.00.

Are there fees to buy a Gift Card? 
Only Shipping and Handling fees that will vary based on the shipping method.
USPS Ground Shipping:  allow up to 10 days  -  $4.95
Federal Express:  allow 3 days  -  $19.95

When will the gift recipient receive the card? 
All cards are mailed the next business day, as long as the order is placed before 3:00 PM EST. The recipient should receive the card within 7 to 10 business days after the order was placed.

How can I or the recipient receive the card the same day?
You will have the option to have a special email sent to you and/or the recipient that will contain the necessary information your merchant will require in order to redeem your Gift Card at the purchased amount. The merchant will also give to you a customized plastic Gift Card for continued use.  This is a much more convenient option in that you will not have to wait several days for shipping.

Does the Gift Card have an expiration date? 
No. The card can be used for as long as the merchant is in business. All of our participating merchants are required to notify us in the event that they have closed their business and are immediately removed from our website. If you purchased the card directly from the merchant, then the merchant is required to notify you.

Can I reload my Gift Card? 
Yes,  you can choose to reload your Gift Card at any time directly with your merchant.

What happens if my Gift Card is lost or stolen? 
The Gift Card is the same as cash and should be treated as such. We cannot and are not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

Can the Gift Card ever have a negative balance? 
No,  If you use your card and the purchase amount is greater than what is on the card then you will be required by the merchant to pay the difference via another form of payment per the merchants policy.
